Pierre also initiated and co-designed the Adfen E-scales software programme, which is built around the Enneagram. This is geared at identifying competency gaps and addressing them to enable a permanent level of positive change in each coachee’s performance. The unique feature of this tool is that it maps out a long-term development programme for each individual. As Managing Member of Adfen Software, Pierre is responsible for computerising a range of psychological assessments for industry and private practice.
He is a faculty member of a major oil company as a co-facilitator in their leadership development and coaching school. This programme is aimed at emerging leaders and has been running for the past four years. Pierre also conducts climate surveys to align companies to overall values of their organisation and to reposition strategy. He is a visiting lecturer and runs coaching circles for the MBA students at The Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town. Pierre holds a degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Stellenbosch

His clients include the following national and international corporates, Toyota, Johnson & Johnson, Shell (SA), Levi Strauss, British American Tobacco, Sun International and Woolworths (SA) – the equivalent of Marks and Spencer in South Africa.
Coaching and Facilitation experience:
Pierre has vast experience in running both individual coaching sessions, as well as coaching circles on a CEO and executive level in the corporate field. He has many years of experience in the psychometric assessment field, which led to the development of the E-Scale coaching tool. He also regularly presents strategic development sessions, leadership and team development programmes a well as conflict resolution workshops. He serves as a Faculty Member at the University of Cape Town’s Executive Education Faculty and presents their Strategic Leadership Course (SLC), as well as their Executive Leadership Programme (ELP) to the UCT Alumni. He is a mentor of coaching students completing the Assistant Coaching Course (ACC) and is an assessor of the Professional Coaching Course delegates at the Centre for Coaching, Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town.
Previous Background
Pierre started his career at Norwich life assurance company in 1991 where he designed and facilitated a wide range of leadership and team interventions in his role as organisational development specialist. He also took part in coaching initiatives inter alia on executive management level as part of the companies’ Management Development and Employee Assistance Programmes and advised leadership on issues of people strategy direction. He co-founded Adfen International in 1994.
Educational Background:
Pierre holds an Industrial Psychology degree from the University of Stellenbosch, has completed the Professional Coaching Course (PCC) through New Ventures West, USA, and is currently completing their Master Coach Programme. He is also a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
